My name is Liza Crawford, I'm the academy manager, I'm a qualified FA coach , who have a great team of coaches that work with me. Oakley is my head coach with Evie, Steve and Richard, we are a real football family, each coach is DBS and safeguarding approved, our session are all about learning and fun , these sessions are an introduction to a team sport .
The age group is yr one /reception, our sessions are run on Saturday mornings from 8-30 till 10am , all abilities welcome.
We have a great bunch of children boys and girls, each session is planned, regular communication is sent out weekly by myself.
Each week we have a captain of the week and we also run a hawk off the month.

U9 Football for 25/26 season (SCHOOL YEAR 4 AS OF SEPT 25)
Hi, my name is Mark & I'm the manager for the U9 Red Kites team, having been a parent for 9yrs in the Horndean Hawks family. This will be the 2nd playing season for the team & myself as manager.. We play in the PYFL Sunday League, with weekly training sessions on Fridays throughout the full year.
I’ve a great Team Coach, Matt who works alongside me with us both driving the team & their individual development forward together.
Our team ethos is to build & develop the child’s technical skill with team play &, most importantly, the child to have fun; with parents/guardians support as part of the Red Kites family.

U10 Football for 25/26 season (BUT ARE Year 4)
The Cardinals are a high ability team for their normal age group and have just won the PYFL Victory Cup 6-1 in the final. During the cup run they scored 21 goals in total and conceded just the once.
Due to the success they've had in the league and cup, the team will step up to U9 football instead of U8 for the 24/25 season but will be built around a squad of players from the U8 age group.
We like to promote an inclusive team ethos, where the team comes first. We challenge the players to come up with their own ideas and answers to game situations to promote learning and understanding. Whilst at the same time creating a fun environment in which to progress.

We have a cracking set of kids in our team who are a pleasure to coach. Seeing these boys develop and improve is amazing to watch.
The Eagles play in the Daring league and are of Mid to High ability for their age group.

The Buzzards are now into their second season as a team in the 24/25 season. The season has seen them growing stronger weekly and they are playing football matches in the Vinicius League within the Portsmouth Youth Football League, Our focus is about creating an inclusive environment for the entire team to play in. Currently looking for a goalkeeper.

U10 GIRLS FOOTBALL FOR 25/26 SEASON (CURRENTLY YEARS 3&4)
Hi I’m Paul Brighton, the manager of the current u9 girls Saturday team, the Sparrowhawks and the u10 girls Sunday team, the Kestrels for 25/26
Two teams of determined, skilful footballers have been brought together to break the Horndean Hawks into the Hampshire Girls Youth league and Portsmouth Youth football league. I work with the teams alongside coaches Lee Carroll, Steven Greaves and Justin Hazeldene.
The team’s ethos was struck from our first summer evening park kickabout; to have fun whilst playing in unity, as the team can only grow stronger together.

Hi, I'm Nej Islam and I am the manager of our U11's 'Raptors' team. I work closely with my coach Adam Perkins and both of us are closely supported by our parent helper Matt Saville. We're a good, close bunch who have a great set of kids to work with, most of whom started their football journeys with us here in Team Raptors. Hi, my name is Steve and I run one of the u10’s team along with Richard and Kev. I am a level 1 qualified FA coach and have coached kids football in both the USA and the UK.
Between the 3 coaches we have over 30yrs of experience in kids football. We have a great team with the majority of the team being with us since 5yrs of age.
A very welcoming set of parents who often socialise together both as a team and as parents. We play in a very competitive league, however the development of the team is the number 1 priority.
